JYMed Peptide and PDHC Bring the Peptide Community Together to Discuss Efficient and Sustainable Manufacturing

10/25/2026

On October 21, 2026, JYMed Peptide joined the Peptide Drug Hunting Consortium (PDHC) to host an international webinar exploring modern approaches to more efficient, scalable, and sustainable peptide manufacturing.

The session brought together industry professionals for a scientific presentation led by Professor Fernando Albericio, followed by an interactive Q&A discussion supported by the JYMed Peptide scientific team.

Exploring New Approaches to Peptide Manufacturing

As peptide development advances, manufacturers continue to examine how synthesis strategies and process improvements can support the transition from research to commercial supply. The webinar provided an opportunity to discuss these challenges through the perspectives of manufacturing efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

Professor Albericio’s presentation covered:

  • Green chemistry metrics for evaluating process impact
  • Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) improvements and optimization
  • Alternative synthetic strategies in peptide manufacturing
  • Process monitoring to support process understanding and control

The session also highlighted the value of considering sustainability alongside process performance. Examining material consumption, synthesis efficiency, and opportunities to reduce environmental impact provides a useful foundation for ongoing technical dialogue across the peptide industry.

Connecting Scientific Expertise with Industry Questions

Following the presentation, participants joined a live Q&A session with Professor Albericio and members of the JYMed Peptide scientific team.

The discussion offered an opportunity to connect the scientific approaches presented with practical considerations in peptide development and manufacturing. Participants contributed questions that encouraged further discussion of manufacturing challenges and potential approaches to process improvement.

For JYMed Peptide, supporting these scientific conversations is part of our ongoing effort to share technical expertise and build stronger connections across the global peptide community.
